Burns Mary Patricia (Pat) Burns, 91 years and 8 months young in spirit and soul, but tired in body.

The angel came and said, 'I will take you home to be with those whom you loved and have already come home to be with the heavenly father your husband, Dr. Hugh T. Burns; sister, Lucile Torstenson; brother-in-law, Clifford Torstenson; parents, William and Josephine Pat leaves behind daughters, Mary Jo (Jim) Houlding of Bloomington, Patricia (Marvin) Varhol of Knoxville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Teresa (Derrick) Rink of St. Paul and new great- grand baby, Anthony James (AJ), who brought light to her eyes. Pat was born in St.

Paul on February 27, 1913, grew up in Minneapolis, graduated from the University of MN in Foods and worked at Northwestern Bell. She then married Dr. Hugh Burns in 1944 and moved to Panama where Hugh practiced dentistry and Cliff, her brother-in-law, was port captain for the canal. She moved to Richfield and raised a family. Pat enjoyed MN Valley Woman's Club, especially the Rajah (antiques) group, garden club where she was flower show chairman, and organized a cookbook, her church circle where she knitted for the Christmas tree and visited Walker Homes.

She was active in Minnesota Dental Auxiliary, National Parliamentarians, Minnesota Pioneers and Elder Hostling with whom she traveled to Russia, England, Cuba, Greece and many places in the US Greece was a favorite and she loved to try new food and experience cultures. Most of all, she loved to do things with her family going to the lake home or playing card games. She leaves behind caring neighbors, Ray and Delores Stiles and special friend, Carl Anderson, who brightened her days, plus many who knew her through her activities and her church. Dennis graduated from St. Elementary School, DeLaSalle High School, attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated from the of M. His career began at 3M and Medtronic. In the early he pioneered the renovation of Loring Park buildings and founded The Park Apartments.

From he owned Surgidev, a medical products corporation in Santa Barbara, CA, specializing in intraocular lenses. He loved to golf, boat, travel and spend time with his family and friends.
