In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to charity of donor's choice. WERNESS BROTHERS 884-8145 Nelson Donald E. Nelson, 78, of Buffalo, MN and Sun City, AZ, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, following a valiant battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Donald was born Nov.

1, 1920, on the family farm in Brooklyn Park, MN. He attended rural elementary school and was a member ol the first class to graduate Irom Robbinsdale High School in 1938. He continued his education in technical schools in Minneapolis. Don began his life's work in aviation mechanics by working in the aircraft industry in San Diego. During World War II.

Donald served his country as a Technical Sergeant in the Eighth Army Air Force. Based in England, he flew 33 missions over Europe. After returning from overseas, Donald was employed as a mechanic by Northwest Airlines, where he happily remained until his retirement in 1982. Donald married Berneva Eischensin 1948 She died in 1953, when their daughter Barbara was born. In 1963, Donald married Viola Bergquist.

who died in 1985. In 1987, Donald married Helen Hennings-gard, who survives him. Don's passions were aviation and agriculture. He was a world-traveler with an avid interest in geography. He was always ready to help friends with his mechanical expertise.

Donald was a life time member of the American Legion, the V.F.W., and the International Association ol Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Anna Nelson, and his brother. Elmer. Don is survived by his daughter. Barbara; his sisters.

Violet i Lucht, Ethel Munn, and Lillian Michaelson, and his nephews and nieces. Donald is also survived by his mother-in-law. Julia Rim-mel; his sister-in-law, Gloria Anderson; his stepdaughter, Kristine Cruik-shank and her husband Michael; his stepson, Robert Henningsgard and his wife Mary, and his step-grandchildren, Matthew Cruikshank, and Steven and Susan Henningsgard. A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Buffalo, MN, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.
