Erickson, age 83, i of Wayzata passed away on June 1 at Meth odist Hospital, after a long illness. He graduated from North Dakota State Univer sity (B.S. Economics Education) and served with the 44th Infantry Divi sion during WWII in France, Germany and Austria, receiving the Bronze Star and three maior battle stars, After the war, he was an agronomist, teacher broadcaster, business executive, marketing and in vestment leader. From 1977 to 1980, he was the broadcast voice for North rup King and in 1965, the recipient of WCCO's Good Neighbor Award. He was Norihrup King's Corporate Vice President of Advertising and Marketing Promotion, the International President of the Sales Promotion Ex ecutives' Association President of the Board of National Association of Investors, and lecturer, organizer and author on agriculture and investments.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; sisters brother- in-law, Evelyn Sheets and Francis Charles Burley of Fargo, ND; daughters sons-in-law. Kay William Polito of Rochester. Provost, age 57, of Plymouth, i passed away on Memorial Day, May 31, after a one year battle with Leiomyosarcoma (a rare cancer attrib uted to exposure to Agent Orange). He was born on Veteran'sDay111141 in Minneapolis. Survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Kelly (Bart May) Provost, Melissa (Andy) Fitch, and son, Gerald (JerryBoo), grandchildren, Alec, Joshua, Bailey, and Emma; twin brother, Thomas; brother, Joseph; sister, Rosemary Leight; mother. Rose: and numerous niece nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer.

Jerry also leaves behind his flying and fishing buddy Clyde Erickson and his dive partner of 30 years, Greg Hegi. Jerry had made diving a life-long career. Starting in the 50's as a sport diver, he entered the Army in 1966 and was trained as a military diver and served in Vietnam in 67-68. Upon discharge, he started Vets Salvage Diving, an underwater construction company. Jerry's second family was the MN Nat Guard.

He recently completed his 20th year as 1 st Sgt with the Aviation Brigade 34th ID at the downtown St. Paul Airport. Accomplishments he was proud of were obtaining his multi-instrument, commercial pilot rating; discovery and recovery of the 1906 steamboat 'Minnehaha' (which has been restored and now operates on Lake Mtka) his book, 'Salvaged Funeral service will be held at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Wayzata on Friday, June 4 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior and a luncheon after service.
