Tribune Obituaries Police officer Duane Go Goodmanson on dies Duane (Skip) Goodmanson, 46, a 22- year veteran of the Minneapolis Police Department, died of leukemia Saturday at Riverside Medical Center in Minneapolis. Goodmanson was diagnosed as having leukemia in June and was awaiting a bone marrow transplant. He will be honored at the 10th annual Racquets for Research on March 25. The event is sponsored by the FBI and the Minneapolis Police Department to raise money for leukemia research.

Goodmanson is survived by his wife, Ginny, and sons Jeff and T.J., all of Coon Rapids; his parents, Duane and Verlyn Goodmanson, of Park Rapids, brothers Dale, of Carpinteria, and Dennis, Don, and David, all of Minneapolis. "She was very interested in politics and helping senior citizens," said her daughter, Phyllis Cavanagh, of Plymouth. "One thing that motivated her was she wanted to see senior citizens have proper insurance and know what their rights are, know where they could go, what resources were in the community for them." Featherstone received the Outstanding Senior Citizen of Hennepin County and the WCCO-Radio Good Neighbor awards in 1978. Anderson, 74, of Minneapolis, an artist and interior designer who restored furniture, mirror and picture frames and other household items, died of cancer Thursday at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Anderson, a native of Eau Claire, did freelance work for interior designers in the Twin Cities. He had restored the original ornate plaster work in entryway and in several rooms of the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis and had restored artwork for the old Chouette restaurant in Wayzata. Anderson was a School of Design studied in Paris and ed the St. Paul Minneapolis School Academy in St.
