Chicago, April 22, (U.R) A $50,000 damage suit am filed today against Harley Boss, young first baseman of the Cleveland Indians, by Attorney Lloyd Fax on acting in behalf of Miss Eloise Mitchell. Faxon was reticent regarding details of the action. He said hopes were entertained that the matter might be adjusted before coming to trial. "It is a legitimate suit," Faxon said, "and not a typical breach of promise action. We hope the matter may be settled out of court." He said Miss Mitchell's home was in North Carolina, Ross and she met in the south, he said.

D. 1933, at 11:00 o'clock a.m., the Board of Estimate and Taxation of the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, will offer for sale by sealed bid and auction: $1,000,000.00 (Tax Anticipation) Certificates of Indebtedness, dated May 15, 1933, payable August 16, 1913, the proceeds thereof to be used to defray the current expenses of the Board of Education of the City of Minneapolis in advance of the collection of the unpaid taxes levied and applicable thereto.

Said certificates will bear Interest at a single rate per annum, any such rate to be a multiple of one-fourth of one per cent and not to exceed six per cent (6fr). Such offering will be sold to a bidder (or bidders) offering a bid complying with the terms of this sale and deemed most favorable, subject to the provision that the Board of Estimate and Taxation reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Sealed bids will be received until 11 o'clock a.m. of the date of sale, and open bids be asked for after that hour. Bids offering an amount less than par cannot be accepted.
