Sullivan, 116 W. Seventy -eighth street, Richfield, announce the engagement of their daughter, Joy Beverlie, to Carlton Scarborough, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Scarborough, Basom, N. Y.

They will be married Aug. 21. Miss Sullivan is a graduate of Minnehaha academy and attended Bob Jones university, Greenville, S. C. Her fiance will graduate from Bob Jones university next January and plans to continue his studies at a seminary in Philadelphia, Pa.

Lake Reunion Mr. and Mrs. James Beardslee, 1716 Irving avenue returned Saturday from a family reunion at Whitefish lake, Pine River, Minn. They have been vacationing there with their daughters, Mrs. Hart Gilchrist and Mrs.

Sewall Fletcher, and their five grandchildren. The Fletchers live at 5036 Juanita avenue, Edina. The Gilchrists have moved from Indianapolis, and will join Mr. Gilchrist Aug. 1 in Denver, after a further visit with Mr.

and Mrs. Beardslee. Wedding Belle Carol Jo Hoyt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S.

Sherman Hoyt will entertain at a brunch for bridal attendants Saturday. Dr. and Mrs. Robert G. Mossman, town, Ohio, parents of the groom, will be hosts at the bridal dinner Friday in the Woman's club.

Additional excitement for the Hoyt family is the visit here of the bride's nephew, Thomas George Hoyt, 3 months. He accompanied his parents, the C. Sherman Hoyts for a three week visit. The family is dividing its time between the senior Hoyt home and that of the baby's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. Hoven is studying at Luther Theological seminary. Stussy-Waldon Saturday was the wedding day of Carolyn Shirley Waldon, daughter of Mrs. Clarence A. Waldon, 4027 Vincent and the late Mr.

Waldon, to Maurice R. Stussy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Stussy, Pine Island, Minn. The ceremony was read in Victory Lutheran church.

After a reception in the church parish house, the couple left for a honeymoon in northern Minnesota. They will live in Pine Island.
