Rockford's Freshmen to Attend Fete Twin Cities College Association Plans Picnic for Saturday GIRLS FROM THE TWIN CITies who will enter Rockford college, Rockford, as freshmen this fall will be entertained at a picnic to be given by the Rockford College Association of the Twin Cities on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harper, Summerville, Lake Minnetonka, Miss Josephine Harper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harper, is a junior at the school.

Assisting at the affair will be Mrs. D. H. Bartlett and the Misses Kristine Kinnaird and Charlotte Cox. DOROTHY RAMSTAD IS 1 WED When Mr. Thomas Malcolm James, and his bride, the former Miss Dorothy Allison Ramstad, return from their wedding trip through Minnesota they will make their home here after October 1. The marriage of the couple took place recently in an afternoon garden ceremony at the summer home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Edwin F. Ramstad, Duluth, at Pike lake, near Duluth. Mr. James is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Thomas M. James, 3336 West Thirty -second street. The Rev. W. J.

Barr of Minneapolis officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore gown of white marquisette fashioned with long full sleeves and bouffant skirt. She wore a fingertip tulle veil caught with gardenia and the heirloom pearls which belonged to her maternal grandmother, the late Mrs. C. Smith.

The bridal bouquet was of gardenias and white sweet peas. Miss Lois Ramstad was her sister's only bridal attendant, in blue organdy trimmed with dark blue velvet bows. Her flowers were yellow roses and pink sweet peas. Mr. William Irgens of Minneapolis was best man.

The is a graduate of the University Minnesota and a bride, member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Mr. James also attended the university. RETURN FROM NEW YORK Mrs. Henry Langum, 3200 Colfax avenue south, and her daughters, the Misses Georgene and Arlene, have returned from a three weeks' vacation in New York city where they were guests of Mrs.

Langum's sister, Mrs. Standish Whitman Holmes, the former Miss Evelyn J. Nelson of Minneapolis, and her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson. Mrs.

Burt J. Denman To Entertain Circle Mrs. Burt J. Denman of Northome, Lake Minnetonka, and Wilmette, will entertain the Winchell Circle of King's Daughters and Sons at dinner in her lake home Saturday. Mrs.

Denman's mother, the late Mrs. Newton Horace Winchell of Minneapolis, founded the organization and was its president until her death in 1926, Both Mrs. Denman and her sister, Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant of St.

Charles, are members of the circle. A talk will be given by Mrs. Helen Stauffacher of Minneapolis, formerly of Monroe, who recently returned from a world tour during which she spent three and one-half months with the family of her brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Stauffacher, a medical missionary at Inhambane, Portuguese, East Africa. Mr.

W. G. Calderwood will lead the devotions. With Mrs. Calderwood, he was in Australia for nearly a year working for the temperance organization of that country.

Mrs. Hollis Haas and Miss Christine Ostroot will furnish music. Mrs. Blanche Shaw Potter, program chairman, and former president, will direct the meeting in the absence of Mrs. M.
