Mrs.

T. Winter, state chairman the woman yesterday received a letter from W. G. Gorgas, surgeon general of the United State9 army, appealing to the Minnesota women to respond to the government's call for nurses. "I want every young woman between the ages of 19 and 3" years of age to give the matter serious confederation.

Surgeon General Gorgas 'wrote. "The army alone will require 5,000 nurses bv January 1. We have perured about 33,000 of this number. We must have the other 12,000 or the nrmv will rim short and this would be an outcome incredible and intoler-tble to the American people. Taken Out of Hospitals.

Mrs. Nippert wore gown of wisteria colored satin and tulle, and Mrs. Ueland was dressed in white georgette crepe and silver lace. Lieutenant Ueland and his bridu left, for Camp Dodge, Des Moines, where the former was recently transferred to from Camp Taylor, Louisville, Ky. Lieutenant and Mrs.

Ueland were both graduated from the University of Minnesota in the class of 1917. The bridegroom is a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity ami the bride belongs to the Delta Gamma sorority.
