PIT Students Take Part in Newman Cluh Lenten Play 'Upper Room Will Be Staged March 5 and 7 TVriSS RUTH MAYER, a senior the college of education, will take the part of "Samuel" In Lenten play. "The Upper Room," be given Sunday and Monday evenings at, De La Salle High school, for the benefit of Newman hall, Catholic foundation at, the Universty of Minnesota. J. P. Hessburg, chairman of the university contact committee of the Hennepin-Minneapolis council of the Knights of Columbus, is in charge of the production, John Seibel, a member of the Newman Club Alumni association, is coaching the players. Miss Eileen Munger, junior in dental hygiene, will play part of Mary Magdalen. Miss Mary Manning. will play Mary, the mother of Christ. Miss Jane Helweg, freshman in the college of science, literature and arts, will play "Veron ica." Other members of the cast are The Doctor, J. Norbert O'Rourke; Achaz (the landlord of the Upper Room), J. P. Hessburg; Joseph of Arimathes, Clarence Fyten; Peter, John A. Seibel; John, Richard Dynes; Judas, Joseph J. relletier; Longinus, Willard Miller. Ascension choir, under direction of Mrs. Mabel Pelletier, will sing. Soloists will be Miss Lou Dorsey, Mrs. Mabel Pelletier, Joseph Pelletier and Vincent Commers. Miss Consuelo Ahlgren, a senior the college of education at the uni versity and Kenneth Stewart, sophomore in the school of mines, in charge of ticket sales on the campus, assisted by J. Arthur Farley, president of the Newman club, Misses Gertrude Sauer, Marguerite Wingreene, Helen Morris, Ella Nicholas, Jeanne LaFrance, Helen Fritz, Jeannette Rithausen, Patricia Green and Etalo BecchettH Leo Kujawa, Paul Richter, Peter Ma- loney, Fred Rithausen, and Edward Clysdale.v The play will be given at Cretin High school, St. Paul, Sunday eve ning, March 13. Dr. Bernice Moriarty, of the alumni association, and Mrs. .F. P. Tierney and Mrs. Paul Bohen, of the auxiliary, are charge of tickets in St. Faul.
